“Seventy” Out Now
My new song “Seventy” is all yours 🖤
The visual piece we created for it is an incarnation of my vision of Afrofuturism and my wish to evoke the raw beauty of my homeland Africa. It shows how tribal artefacts matched with a little bit of modern technology can propel us into the future in no time and also that technological advancement cannot be sustainable without the knowledge and understanding of our past traditions.
Firstly I would like to thank Travys Owen for making this visual journey possible. He is such an outstanding director, the way he portrays Africa is incomparable, his love for the continent and its people touches me a lot.
I would also like to thank the team of talented and exceptional people who gave their time and science to this vision, in particular GrandEar without whom the song Seventy would never have seen the light of day. Four years ago he sent me a demo which I lyricated to express the perseverance we have to show every day to make our dreams come true. One thing led to another after my entry at Roche Musique last year "Seventy" found itself in the hands of the brilliant producer Crayon with whom I was able to give the final touch.
I am so moved to have arrived here today. Once again I would like to thank each and every single being from the bottom of my heart for your patience and guidance: Jeanne Soke, Allison Swank, Niko Seizov, Valentina Palange, Felix Seuffert, Sikelela Qhashane, Anna Verloren Van Themaat, Reep Verloren Van Themaat, Peta Synnot-Marzetti, Kyle Stroebel, Rory Mark, Gina Gibson, Lea Ware, Anne-Flore Levacher, Thibault Dury, Warren Ko, Ingo F., Thomas Clairice, Sibéri, Dominique Trémouille, Manuel Figueres, Damien Besançon, Amanda Perlstein, Grace Eire, Amie Evans, Kate Cudbertson.
